I’m a Psychiatrist in clinical practice in New York, where I provide psychotherapy and medication management for adults and adolescents aged 16 and older. My clinical work aims to help people reconnect with their true selves, improve their relationships with others and the world they live in.
I specialize in working with survivors of trauma, abuse and neglect and in the treatment of dissociative disorders including Depersonalization-Derealization Disorder (DPDR). My approach to working with trauma and dissociation is rooted in recognizing and utilizing the importance of relationships, including the patient-provider relationship. Through creating a safe and trusting environment, we take time to explore the unconscious impact of past traumatic experiences and overcome the way they shape present day experience. I offer contemporary approaches likeEye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP) when appropriate to facilitate overcoming the barriers of difficult feelings like shame and fear.

I have a particular focus in working with visual artists and other creative types. I believe that creative endeavors and self expression can be a pathway to a deeper understanding of the self and personal growth. I like to utilize the artist's own creative process as a vehicle for their personal development. We bring creativity into the room, including art therapy methods, that allow us to think and communicate beyond just words.
I am able to offer both psychotherapy and psychiatric medications for a range of challenges including Anxiety, Depression, Manic and Psychotic conditions (Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder), ADHD, OCD and Insomnia. My background in internal medicine facilitates working with those who struggle with active and complex medical conditions. I provide affirming care for transgender individuals including letters of support and evaluations for those seeking gender-affirming medical treatments.

I completed residency training in both Psychiatry and Internal Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. I graduated from medical school at the Sackler School of Medicine where I conducted research in cardiology and urology. I have an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University, where I researched the neurobiology of memory formation.
