Currently licensed to practice in New York
I am a licensed psychiatrist based in New York City and offer treatment to adults 18 years of age and older. I am currently a staff psychiatrist at the Fifth Avenue Counseling Center, where I primarily provide medication management and regularly collaborate with therapists on patient care.
I am trained and experienced in treating those experiencing with a range of conditions, including depression and mood disorders, various forms of anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, bipolar disorder and psychotic disorders.
I am particularly passionate about working with victims of trauma, those suffering from PTSD, and those navigating life transitions such as school graduations, marriage and having children. I focus on helping patients identify resilient qualities within themselves that can help live a more fulfilling life.
My approach to treatment lies in the belief that every patient’s story is unique, and thus requires a unique and individualized approach. I am a firm believer in taking a collaborative approach to patient care, teaming up with my patients and collaborating with therapists to help patients better reach their treatment goals.
I completed residency training in General Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Prior to residency, I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Miami with a degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. I graduated medical school at Howard University College of medicine, where I participated in research evaluating the effects of psychopharmacological interventions on trauma and PTSD related insomnia.
